SFTP Unavailability

UPDATE (4:36PM CDT): We’ve corrected this issue, and SFTP access is fully functional across all sites once again. If you are still having trouble, please submit a ticket to our helpdesk in http://my.pressable.com/

We are currently experiencing an issue that is causing SFTP to be unavailable for many customers. We are working diligently toward getting this resolved as soon as possible and will provide updates as they become available.

Emergency Maintenance: IAD Datacenter

Update (1:26PM CDT) All sites on IAD are up, and the SFTP/Upload issues are now resolved. Please contact the helpdesk if you have any outstanding issues, questions, or concerns.

We are going to be immediately performing an emergency maintenance for clusters in our IAD datacenter.

This goal of the maintenance is to resolve issues related to customers not being able to upload to their sites via SFTP or the WordPress dashboard. These issues are occurring as a side effect last night’s scheduled Cloud Block Storage maintenance from Rackspace.

This maintenance will cause sites in IAD to be unavailable while we resolve these issues.

Rackspace Scheduled Maintenance (UPDATED)

Update (3/23/16): Rackspace has scheduled additional maintenance for Thursday, March 23. Please check the maintenance schedule below to see if your site(s) will be impacted.

Rackspace will be performing scheduled maintenance on several servers over the coming week beginning on Monday, March 21. The maintenance schedule is as follows:

Issues with Sites on the Bode Galaxy

UPDATE (6:34pm CT): The load balancer and its host machine have recovered. At this time, all sites are up. If you have any lingering issues, please contact our help desk (support@pressable.com).

We are currently seeing issues with sites which are hosted on the Bode galaxy. The issues are related to a problem which Rackspace is currently experiencing on a load balancer utilized by the Bode galaxy.

We are working to route traffic to a new load balancer and are awaiting an estimate time of repair from Rackspace.

Rackspace Scheduled Maintenance: February 16-17

UPDATE: The scheduled maintenance has been completed. At this time, all sites are up. If you have any lingering issues, please contact our help desk (support@pressable.com).

Rackspace, our backbone provider, will be performing critical maintenance on the network that connects its cloud infrastructure from 9:00pm CT on Tuesday, February 16th to 5:00am CT on Wednesday, February 17. During this 8-hour window, we expect a brief interruption of service to sites which are hosted at Rackspace’s IAD data center.

Database Issue on the Hyperion Galaxy

UPDATE (4:55pm CDT): The database issue has been resolved. At this time, all sites are working as expected. If you have additional concerns about the issue, please contact our help desk (support@pressable.com) and we’ll promptly address your concern.

 

Our systems are currently experiencing an issue with database utilization which is affecting site on the Hyperion galaxy. Visitors are presently unable to access sites which are hosted on the Hyperion galaxy.

We’re actively working to resolve the issue, and should have things back to normal soon. If you need additional information about this issue, please contact our help desk (support@pressable.com) and we’ll promptly address your concern.

Emergency Maintenance in Virginia Datacenter

We have just begun a period of Emergency Maintenance in our Virginia Datacenter. We discovered an issue this morning that was causing trouble with files being uploaded properly to sites. This turns out to be related to an issue on the file server that houses data on the clusters in our Virginia Datacenter.

This emergency maintenance is currently underway and sites in the Virginia DC will experience a small window of downtime that is starting right now.

We will update this status blog again as soon as sites and the file server are back up.

UPDATE 3:00 PM Central: The period of emergency maintenance concluded at around 1:45PM Central time. At this point all sites affected had availability restored and service returned to normal. As of this update, all systems are now back up and functioning normally again.

Upload Issues In Virginia Datacenter

We are currently experiencing an issue in our Virginia datacenter that is causing uploads via the WordPress Dashboard to fail. All affected sites remain up and available otherwise.

We are working on getting this resolved as quickly as possible and will provide an update as soon as we have further insight or resolution.

We will update again as soon as this issue has been resolved and you can keep an eye on the other status post for emergency maintenance progress.

UPDATE 3:00PM Central: The emergency maintenance period concluded around 1:45 PM Central and was a success. The results of this maintenance was essential toward getting the upload issue resolved and everything is now functioning normally. All sites in our Virginia datacenter are up, running, and have upload functionality working properly again.

HelpDesk Connectivity Issue

Freshdesk experienced a brief outage from approximately 2:05PM to 2:15 CDT today.
During this time, the helpdesk at http://help.pressable.com/ was unresponsive and would time out.

This issue appears to be resolved at this time.
If for some reason you are having trouble accessing the helpdesk, please let us know via email at help@pressable.com and we will answer your ticket as soon as possible.

Issue With SFTP Connections

Our systems are currently experiencing an issue with SFTP connections. The problem impacts administrators and collaborators’ connections to their site’s files over SFTP. The issue does not affect visitors accessing sites. At this time, all sites should be loading as expected.

We’re actively working to identify the issue, and should have a resolution soon. If you feel that this issue is affecting your site, please contact our help desk (support@pressable.com) and we’ll promptly address your concern.

UPDATE: This issue has been cleared and SFTP is now working properly across our network.
