Between approximately 14:29:38 and 14:38:00 UTC on October 21, 2026, routine updates to our edge infrastructure caused unexpected HTTP 500 errors across some sites.
The issue is resolved.
We have identified the cause and are reviewing additional mitigations.

Pressable-Powered Sites Protected Against Critical PHP Vulnerabilities
The PHP project has released fixes for two critical vulnerabilities, CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619, that could allow unauthenticated remote code execution. See the PHP security advisory for details.
Pressable sites are already protected against both vulnerabilities. Our parent company, Automattic, worked closely with the PHP Security team to protect these sites as soon as possible.
- Every PHP version available on Pressable is protected.
- All Pressable sites are covered, including Sandbox, Staging, and Production sites.
- Pressable customers do not need to take action.
If you manage PHP installations outside of Pressable, follow the PHP project’s update guidance for those systems immediately. No action is necessary for sites powered by Pressable.
RESOLVED: Service degradation on select websites
Aug 26, 2026 10:28:00 AM EDT: As part of routine platform upgrade, some websites encountered an error, reverting them to a read-only state.
Affected sites continued to serve traffic, however they were unable to make changes to their filesystem, including File Uploads, Plugin/theme updates or installs, as well as other data changes to their filesystem.
The issue has been resolved and normal read/write access has resumed for all impacted sites. We are continuing to monitor the sites that were impacted and will be reviewing how the incident was able to occur.
Support & Sales chat disruption (Resolved)
14:34 UTC – Our chat service provider has addressed the issue. Our Sales and Support team are now working on following up with any customers that reached out to us. Thank you again for your patience with this.
14:26 UTC – The service provider that we use for providing Sales and Support is experiencing an outage affecting our chat functionality. Their team is working on resolving the issue, but as a result there will be a delay in responses to you from our team.

All sites on the Pressable platform have been automatically updated to WordPress 5.9. This release includes several improvements, such as:
- Full site editing
- Twenty Twenty-Two theme
- Navigation blocks
- Improved block functions and features

Service issue – my.pressable.com dashboard
Update: 16:06 UTC0 the issue we were experiencing with the my.pressable.com dashboard is now resolved.

We are currently experiencing an issue with the my.pressable.com management dashboard.
Our team is actively working on the problem and we will provide an update shortly.
In the meantime, the operation of any websites hosted with Pressable is not impacted.
SSL Provisioning Delays
Update: This delay has now been cleared and newly created sites are being issued certificates without delay. Thank your your patience.
There is currently a delay in issuing new SSL certificates for newly added custom domains on WordPress.com and VIP sites. This does not affect previously added domains. Nor does it impact the data on your site.
WordPress 5.8
All sites on the Pressable platform have been automatically updated to WordPress 5.8
This major release includes bug fixes and many new feature updates, Block-Based Widget Editor, Block-Based Template Editor, and a new WordPress Patterns Directory.

Update: 2:00 PM UTC0 the issue with new site creation and page view calculations has been fully resolved. We thank you for your patience while we investigated and fixed the source of the problem.
If you still find that you are having problems, please try refreshing your browser and then contact our support team.
At 1:00 PM UTC0 we began experiencing an issue displaying page views and creating new sites on our platform.
Our team is currently working to identify and fix the cause.
Existing sites will still function as expected, even though you will not be able to see your page view stats.
New sites will temporarily not be able to be created. This includes cloning an existing site.
We’ll continue to update here as necessary.
